Rockets & Space
The Glenn L. Martin Company began producing missiles in 1945 and is still in the aerospace industry as the Lockheed Martin Company. Housed in the old Glenn L. Martin Company buildings in Middle River, Maryland, STEngineering and Rocket Lab continue the legacy by still producing aerospace items.
Rosie & Martin Company
Because world wars were total wars which required governments to utilize their entire populations for the purpose of defeating their enemies, millions of women were encouraged to work in industry and take over jobs previously done by men.
